Wildflower bunch is a wooden botanical artwork made around a collection of different flowers and foliage. A teak wood mosaic forms the background, with pieces arranged to create a pattern that moves radially across the surface.
Different flowers are carved into the wood, along with leaves and stems, and filled with coloured powder resin. Rather than following a single type of flower, the composition brings together several forms and colours, much like a bunch of picked wild flowers.
The resin has a translucent quality that allows the carved forms to retain some of their depth and texture. The colours sit within the wood rather than simply on top of it, while the grain and natural variations of the teak remain visible around them.
The artwork also features a double frame, the inner one in Burmese teak enveloped by a thicker one in plain Teak wood

Handmade product
Each piece in the Malar collection is made by hand, from arranging the individual pieces of the wood mosaic to carving the flowers and filling them with resin. Small variations in the grain, carving, colour and resin are a natural part of the process.
